Mean Value Theorem and Newton Raphson Method

The mean value theorem states, roughly, that given a planar arc between two endpoints, there is at least one point at which the tangent to the arc is parallel to the secant through its endpoints.

In this topic we will practice on Rolle’s theorem, conditions at which function does not satisfy Rolle’s theorem as well as, we will practice that how to find ‘c’ for trigonometric function and some typical functions. We will also deal with LMVT and Newton Raphson method in which we practice that how to find the value of number ‘c’ that satisfies LMVT, how to find the upper or lower bound of a function using LMVT and how to find the approximate values of some irrational numbers by Newton’s method of approximation.
