# Idea of Whole Number

Whole numbers :

• The numbers that consist of group of numbers starting with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...... and so on, one called whole numbers.
• Whole numbers don't include any fractional, decimal or negative parts.

Ex. $$5.5,\ \dfrac{4}{2}, \; -2,\;4\dfrac{1}{3}$$ are not whole numbers.

Natural numbers :

• The numbers that consist of group of numbers starting with 1, 2, 3, 4, ..... and so on, are called natural numbers.

Ex : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ..... are natural numbers.

• The set of natural numbers is denoted by N.

N = {1, 2, 3, 4, .....}

• Natural numbers don't include any fractional, decimal or negative parts.

Ex : $$15.2,\;\dfrac{11}{2},\;-4,\;-\dfrac{18}{4}$$ are not natural numbers.
